The main area of responsibility of the Public Relations Department is the management of the website as well as the management of the social media channels and the maintenance of the website in the interests of the students.

This department is also responsible for creating flyers, brochures and press releases. In order to be able to offer students at our university more offers and discounts, the establishment of cooperation with related departments at other universities and companies is also part of the tasks. Another important aspect is the loan of technology, which is made available to students to the full.

Unit members talk about their work

Tobias Blab (current speaker):

"I'm responsible for the information you get alongside the UAS, such as splash stands, events and workshops."

Johannes Lutz (former speaker):

"The main part of my job is to publicize the services offered by HTW and the ÖH as much as possible. This ranges from information and advice services to workshops and collaborations: After all, if nobody knows anything about it, we can offer as much as we want and still nobody will benefit from it. That's why I receive numerous tips, especially from the other speakers and chairpersons, about events in their subject areas, which I then research and prepare for publication on our website and Facebook. As I personally don't particularly enjoy organizing events, I mainly serve as support for any unit that wants to hold one: ranging from hands-on work to publications about them in our media."

Laura Legat (former administrator):

"The HöchschülerInnenschaft offers many advantages for students, but these can only be used if people know about them. Our work in the Public Relations Department therefore primarily consists of making HTW better known to the outside world, both among our students and across educational institutions. This mainly includes managing social media, as well as planning and running events, from the slightly larger semester opening to the cozy waffle day in the office."
