What are the tasks of the HTW?
The Students' Union at UAS Technikum Wien, HTW for short, represents, advises and helps students at UAS Technikum Wien. We work closely with the Austrian National Union of Students and together we take a stand on educational and socio-political issues that are of concern to students.
We act independently of party-political considerations and put the well-being of students at UAS Technikum Wien first at all levels.
You can find a guideline here: HTW guidelines
A description of the departments can be found here: Chairpersons and Departments of the HTW

What does the HTW do?
The HTW is the university representation at the Technikum. We represent, advise and support the students. Specifically, we offer
- Assistance in the event of disagreements with lecturers or the examination regulations
- Legal advice and enforcement of your rights
- Information on scholarships, social support, funding programs
- Support with topics such as equal treatment and equal rights, studying with children, studying and working
- Free technology rental
- Organizing events for FHTW students
We sit on the most important decision-making committees at the UAS, such as the UAS Board (the highest decision-making body) and in various working groups on the topics of examination regulations, quality assurance and many others.
