Have you ever wanted to set sails? Now is your opportunity to follow the sea’s calling!
We are looking for sailors and those who want to become one.
On 30th June the annual dragon boat race Student’s Cup takes place at the „Ruderzentrum Neue Donau Wien“.
The dragon boat race is a rowing race involving team work and rhythm. The helmsperson is provided by the promoter, but you need to hire the crew (16-18 sailors) yourself. So go on and ask all your friends and classmates so you’ll be ready to set sails. A part of the start fee is financed by the HTW*.
This year there is even going to be a lady’s class; however, mixed teams are very much appreciated.
There are training classes you can take beforehand so you won’t have to race unprepared!

*The HTW will pay the start fees only for students of the UAS Technikum Wien. Should you want to enter as a mixed team (meaning with students from other colleges), the HTW will pay the start fees only for students from the UAS Technikum Wien. If there is going to be more than one team from the UAS Technikum, the funding will be split between the teams.
